Park Bo-gum to Host 'Mama Awards' Held in Tokyo
Actor Park Bo-gum will serve as a host for this year's 'MAMA Awards.'
On the 2nd, CJ ENM announced, "Park Bo-gum and singer Jeon So-mi will host the '2023 MAMA Awards,' held over two days on the 28th and 29th of this month at Tokyo Dome in Japan."
Shim Jun-beom, head of CJ ENM's Music Content Division, explained the selection reason, saying, "The two, who have been part of the first year of the 'MAMA Awards' rebranding, are ideal icons to convey the ceremony's value and message."
He added, "This year's 'MAMA Awards' promises an interactive stage that resonates and connects through K-pop, and we plan to introduce some new technologies in the hosting to communicate with the global audience in new ways and offer various enjoyable experiences."

Jeon So-mi will host again this year following last year, leading Chapter 1 on the first day. Park Bo-gum, who has been a main host since 2017, will lead Chapter 2 on the second day. With this, he will have stood on three representative domes in Japan: Nagoya in 2019, Osaka in 2022, and this year in Tokyo.
