Elderly Motorcycle Rider in 80s Killed by Truck at Signal-Free Intersection in Jinju

A man riding a motorcycle in Jinju-si, Gyeongnam, was hit by a truck and died.
According to Jinju Police Station on the 2nd, an elderly man in his 80s riding a motorcycle was struck by a 1-ton truck at an intersection in Hadae-dong, Jinju-si, at around 1:44 PM on the 1st.
The accident occurred at an intersection without traffic lights, where a vehicle traveling straight from the KT Dongjinju branch toward a mart entered from the opposite lane and collided with the oncoming motorcycle.
The motorcycle rider was transported to the hospital immediately after the accident but eventually passed away.
