Expo Opening Commemoration Special Drone Show Featuring 1000 Drones

Scheduled to be Presented at Nokdong Port at 8 PM on the 4th

Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that to commemorate the opening of the ‘1st Goheung Drone·UAM Expo,’ they are preparing a special swarm flight drone show featuring 1,000 drones showcasing cutting-edge future flying objects such as drones and UAM content.

This special performance is scheduled to be presented once on Saturday, November 4th at 8 PM, coinciding with the regular drone show at Nokdong Port.

The county plans to deliver a top-tier performance that completes a highly advanced and three-dimensional artistic light work through the swarm flight of 1,000 drones, which is double the scale of the existing Nokdong Port drone show (500 drones).

The special performance content featuring 1,000 drones will express themes such as ‘UAM takeoff and operation, UAM-centered city Goheung, drone delivery, and various drone functions’ with more three-dimensional effects than the 3D production of 500 drones.

The 1st Goheung Drone·UAM Expo will be held under the theme ‘Goheung, Making the Future Real with Drone·UAM’ from November 3rd to 5th (3 days) at the Goheung Aviation Center area.

The Nokdong Port drone show is regularly held every Saturday night at 8 PM until November, featuring 500 drones performing various themed show contents once each week.

Governor Gong Young-min said, “At the Yuja Festival site in Handong-ri, Pungyang-myeon, which is held simultaneously during the expo period, a special 1,000-drone show will be performed on November 3rd and 5th, matching the event’s theme and providing enjoyable memories for the audience.”

Meanwhile, a county official requested that since the drone show performances may be postponed or canceled due to bad weather such as rain or strong winds, visitors should frequently check the official Goheung-gun website in advance.
