Hanwha Connect is engaging in eco-friendly and community coexistence activities with a focus on resource circulation. At Connect Place Seoul Station, it is implementing the resource circulation campaign 'Connect Zero' to raise environmental awareness. Through collaboration with participating stores, milk cartons are collected, recycled into toilet paper, and used within business sites as well as donated to vulnerable groups. Approximately 9,9912 milk cartons (about 3 tons) are collected annually and converted into raw materials capable of producing 2,331 jumbo rolls.
To promote the campaign, various informational signs made from coffee grounds bioplastic (recycled coffee grounds) and honeycomb board (an eco-friendly material that can be recycled and reused) are displayed, leading the use of eco-friendly products.
Using the rooftop garden of the Seoul Station branch, various eco-friendly events are held in collaboration with zero-waste shops such as Almang Store. In April and August, events such as the 'Dasiipda 21% Party,' where participants exchange clothes they no longer wear, and the 'Jebi (Zero Waste + Vegan Food) Night Market,' featuring vegan food sales and related documentary screenings, were held.
As part of social contribution activities for community coexistence, educational programs for children such as 'Resource Recycling, Eolkeureoke Swisul Su Ga!' and support programs for single-parent families are also being operated. Various programs including resource circulation education, milk carton wallet making, and refill experiences are provided for children. These programs were conducted twice in June and October, with additional sessions planned for this month. In the future, the scope will be expanded to include not only environmental education but also themes such as historical experiences and musical instrument performances.
Quarterly visits to Seongsim Mojawon are made as part of the single-parent family support program, delivering snacks to children celebrating their birthdays. At the end of the year, events will be held to give various gifts such as tickets to leisure and entertainment facilities operated by Hanwha Group, food, and clothing in celebration of Christmas and the New Year.
