This focused crackdown will concentrate on large-scale migratory bird habitats and areas suspected of poaching, targeting illegal capture and acquisition of wildlife, as well as the installation of illegal traps.
According to the Act on the Protection and Management of Wildlife, those caught poaching or trafficking wildlife face imprisonment of up to 5 years or fines ranging from 5 million to 50 million won.
