Yonsei University Korean Language Institute Holds Award Ceremony for the 29th Foreigners' Korean Writing Contest
Yonsei University Korean Language Institute announced on the 31st that it held the award ceremony for the '29th Foreigners' Hangeul Writing Contest.'

To commemorate Hangeul Day, Yonsei University Korean Language Institute has been hosting the Foreigners' Hangeul Writing Contest since 1992 to inform foreigners and overseas Koreans learning Korean about the significance of the creation of Hangeul and its excellence.
This year's Hangeul writing contest saw participation from 1,200 foreigners and overseas Koreans from 63 countries. Participants spent time writing creative pieces expressing their own thoughts and emotions on the themes of ‘A Day (Poetry Section)’ and ‘Street (Essay Section).’

The grand prize of the contest was awarded to Ms. To Huyen My, a Vietnamese national who participated in the essay section. Ms. To Huyen My received the Yonsei University President's Award, a trophy, and a prize of 1 million won. In addition, 61 other winners were presented with certificates and trophies.
