'Money Rain' Falling from a Clear Sky... Czech Influencer Sprinkles $1 Million from a Helicopter
Event Held to Promote the Movie 'One Man Show'
"Successfully Dropped Without Casualties"
A Czech broadcaster and influencer has attracted attention by scattering cash worth 1 million dollars (about 1.35 billion won) from the sky for movie promotion purposes.
On the 30th (local time), according to foreign media including The Economic Times, Czech broadcaster and influencer Kamil Bardosek uploaded a video titled "The World's First Money Rain!" on his YouTube account and others on the 26th. Kamil is known online by the alias "kazma kazmitch."
In the released video, Kamil personally boarded a helicopter and scattered cash. Thousands of people ran around with bags or envelopes to scoop up the money. It is reported that the 1 million dollars disappeared in less than an hour.
This event was planned as part of the promotion for the recently released movie "Onemanshow: The Movie." Initially, the plan was to give 1 million dollars to one person who decoded a code embedded in the movie, but since the problem was too difficult and no one solved it, the plan was eventually changed to distribute the money to all participants.
Kamil encrypted the location where the money would be scattered and sent it to participants via email. About 4,000 people reportedly gathered at the site.
Kamil stated, "We successfully dropped 1 million dollars without any injuries or deaths." He uploaded videos not only on YouTube but also on TikTok, Instagram, and other social networking services (SNS), and the total views reportedly exceeded 30 million.
He explained, "You all gave us many ideas about what to do with the prize money that no one won: helping someone and donating money to good causes, distributing it to all participants in our event, and creating another show with that money. So I decided to do all three at once."
