At this meeting, President Ahn expressed regret for the artists who may have been hurt due to past flawed and outdated production practices. He also proposed a dialogue with HYBE to establish advanced production practices.
The two exchanged opinions on the development of K-pop and K-content and plan to jointly announce specific cooperation measures in the near future.
Since 2019, there have been ongoing rumors of discord between MBC and HYBE. HYBE-affiliated artists have not appeared on MBC’s music program "Show! Music Core" and have also abstained from year-end events such as the MBC Gayo Daejejeon.
Following this meeting between President Ahn and Chairman Bang, it is expected that HYBE artists will return to appear on MBC’s music programs.
