Ewha Womans University Hosts Award Ceremony for '2023 National High School Girls Programming Contest'

View original imageThe contest, organized by the Ewha Womans University Software-Centered University Project Group, is the only programming competition in Korea exclusively for high school girls and this year marked its 9th edition. This year's contest was held online in a non-face-to-face format. Students from across the country competed on an online platform on the 16th of last month, demonstrating their problem-solving skills using Java, C language, Python, and more.
Ewha Womans University selected a total of 11 teams for the Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Merit Award, and Encouragement Award through expert judging and scoring. At the award ceremony, Kyung-Sik Shin, Vice President for External Affairs at Ewha Womans University, presented prize money and certificates to each winner, and all participants received certificates of participation and commemorative gifts. The Grand Prize was awarded to Min-Yu Kim, a second-year student at Gyeonggi Science High School, and the Excellence Award went to Yeon-Young Kim, a second-year student at Sejong Science Arts Gifted High School. Four teams received the Merit Award, and five teams were selected for the Encouragement Award.
