Anseong-si Completes Eco-Friendly Road Water Spraying System in Ayang District
Automatic Control Using IoT
On the 30th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced the completion of an eco-friendly automatic road water spraying system (Clean and Cooling Road) using the Internet of Things (IoT) within the Ayang Residential Development District.
This system utilizes IoT to automatically control the timing of water spraying as well as electronic display boards and CCTV, using purified recycled sewage water.
The system was installed along approximately 2.75 km of Ayang 1-ro and Ayang 2-ro within the Ayang District.
Notably, the system operates the electronic display boards and control system using solar power, reducing electricity consumption associated with facility operation. According to the city, during the trial operation of the Clean and Cooling Road system, the road surface temperature dropped by more than 10 degrees Celsius after about 30 minutes of water spraying, and fine dust concentration decreased by 12 μg per cubic meter.
The city plans to operate this system annually from March to October.
