Yeongyang-gun Hosts the 1st Yeongyang Byeolchunji Cup National Youth Soccer Tournament
Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held the 1st Yeongyang Byeolchunji Cup National Youth Soccer Tournament from October 28 to 29 at Yeongyang Public Stadium and Auxiliary Soccer Field.

View original imageThis tournament, held for the first time in Yeongyang-gun, featured 28 teams from across the country competing in group leagues divided into 8-year-old, 9-year-old, 10-year-old, and 11-year-old categories, followed by a knockout stage. The champions of each category were Ulsan IFC, Daegu Park Jeongsik THE, Pohang JS, and Busan KYW Kim Youngwoo FC, respectively.
On the day of the tournament, more than 800 visitors, including youth players and their parents, stayed in Yeongyang for one night and two days to participate in the event. Through hosting this tournament, Yeongyang-gun contributed to revitalizing the local economy by increasing the use of local facilities such as restaurants and accommodations.
County Governor Oh Do-chang stated, "I hope this tournament provides youth players with an opportunity to take a step forward toward their dreams. We will continue to support the hosting of nationwide tournaments in Yeongyang-gun without hesitation."
