Jeongeup-si to Host 'Opera Gala Concert' on the 6th of Next Month

Jeonbuk Jeongeup City announced on the 30th that it will hold an opera gala concert featuring lead singers from the Italian Puccini Opera Festival at 7 p.m. on the 6th of next month at the Jeongeupsa Arts Center.

This performance is a project planned by the Honam Opera Company to enhance the quality of life for citizens and allow them to enjoy high-class culture by inviting lead singers from Italy.

The main cast includes internationally active lead singers from the Italian Puccini Opera Festival: soprano Jesua Galipoco, baritone Jacomo Medici, and the Mutoz Chamber Singers consisting of nine members.

The audience is limited to those aged 8 and above, admission is free, and entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis starting 30 minutes before the performance.

Mayor Lee Hak-su stated, “We will continue to host various cultural performances that meet the expectations of our citizens to relieve cultural thirst and strive to improve the development of local culture and arts as well as the quality of life for our citizens.”
