Ulsan City, 3 Violations Found in Meat Sales Businesses at Traditional Markets and Oil Markets
Three meat sales businesses in Ulsan were caught violating hygiene management regulations.
Ulsan City announced on the 30th that, as a result of a special hygiene inspection conducted over two weeks from the 16th to the 27th on meat products sold at local oil markets and traditional markets, violators were found.
This inspection was carried out targeting meat sold in traditional markets to prevent food safety accidents such as food poisoning by ensuring livestock product hygiene and safety, and to block the production and distribution of fraudulent and substandard livestock products.
Hygiene monitoring and simultaneous sampling inspections of sold meat were conducted on meat sales businesses and meat instant sales processing businesses operating in 60 traditional markets in Ulsan.
The inspection focused on whether the management of meat was safe and hygienic, including ▲maintenance of cleanliness within the business premises ▲hygienic handling of meat ▲presence of hanging carcasses in the workplace ▲compliance with meat labeling requirements ▲and adherence to business operator obligations.
As a result of the inspection, three businesses violating hygiene management were identified and subjected to administrative measures and fines.
