Gwangjin-gu, Life Sharing 'Love Blood Donation'
Voluntary Blood Donation Participation by Over 60 District Office Staff and Residents on the 26th... Fostering a Blood Donation Atmosphere That Saves Lives and Practicing a Culture of Life Sharing
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) conducted the "Gwangjin Family Love Blood Donation" on the 26th at the district office's Ginkgo Tree Road for employees and local residents.
This event, held for the second time following June, was organized to help alleviate the blood supply shortage caused by the decrease in blood donors and to promote a culture of life-sharing.
Since 2011, Gwangjin-gu has been promoting regular blood donation campaigns through an agreement with the Korean Red Cross to contribute to stabilizing the blood supply at least twice a year. Approximately 1,500 employees have participated so far.
On this day, about 60 district office employees and residents voluntarily participated, setting an example of practicing love for neighbors.
