Lee Nak-yeon False Defamation... Woman in Her 50s, Democratic Party Member, Prosecuted for Defamation Charges
Former leader of the Democratic Party, Lee Nak-yeon, was defamed by a Democratic Party member who spread false information suggesting an inappropriate relationship with a woman.
The Criminal Division 1 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Park Seong-min) indicted A (52) without detention on the 26th for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation).
According to the prosecution, in July 2022, A posted photos and writings on the Democratic Party homepage's rights members' bulletin board implying that former leader Lee had an inappropriate relationship with a woman.
