Jangseong-gun Holds 'Social Welfare Day Ceremony' at the Community Hall
Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do held the 24th Social Welfare Day commemorative ceremony on the 25th at the Gunmin Hall, hosted by the Jangseong-gun Social Welfare Council.
According to the county on the 26th, about 200 people attended the event, including social welfare workers, Kim Han-jong, the governor of Jangseong-gun, Ko Jae-jin, chairman of the Jangseong-gun Council, provincial and county council members, Jeon Byeong-hyeon, chief of Jangseong Police Station, and Lee Jae-yang, head of the Jangseong Office of Education.

Following a pre-ceremony Nanta performance, the main ceremony included awarding commendations to 25 social welfare contributors, as well as celebratory performances of Namdo folk songs and popera. In the afternoon, participants explored Jangseong Chukryeongsan Cypress Forest, which was selected as one of the nation's top 100 premium forests.
Governor Kim Han-jong expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank the social welfare workers who have dedicated themselves with a special sense of mission,” and added, “The county will do its best to create an environment where they can work happily.”
Meanwhile, the county supports the protection of rights and improvement of treatment for social welfare workers by providing mandatory legal continuing education for social workers, enrolling social welfare workers in group accident insurance, and supporting the operating expenses of the Social Welfare Council.
