Dong-Eui University Expands Game Literacy Education with Game Culture Foundation
On the 24th at 4 PM, Dong-Eui University and the Game Culture Foundation held a game literacy education session by inviting Director Kwon Hyuk-woo of 4:33 at the Prime Open Hall on the first floor of the Industry-University Cooperation Building at Dong-Eui University.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Creative Content Agency, and the Game Culture Foundation are conducting the "2023 Guardian Game Literacy Education" under the theme "Let's Talk About Game Culture Together" to promote a correct understanding of games and spread the value of gaming.
The first session of the day was held under the theme "The Current Status and Future of the Game Industry, and Careers in Gaming," attended by about 200 people including Professor Kim Chi-yong of Dong-Eui University's Game Engineering Department, students, university students interested in the game industry, and citizens.
Professor Kim Chi-yong (Director of External Cooperation) of Dong-Eui University's Game Engineering Department said, "I hope the valuable stories from seniors who have entered the game industry will be a great help in setting career paths."
Director Kwon Hyuk-woo of 4:33 said, "It is unfortunate that there are some negative perceptions of games in our society." He added, "Games have positive functions that can enrich our society. I hope you take an interest in future job changes due to the advancement of artificial intelligence and explore your career paths based on intuition and imagination."
