Boseong-gun Promotes Premium Project for Namdo Food Street

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it is promoting the "Beolgyo Taebaek Mountain Range Cockle Street Revitalization Project" to promote Beolgyo cockles in season as part of the Namdo Food Street Premium Project.

The Namdo Food Street Premium Project is a program that promotes regional specialty foods and attracts food tourists by linking Namdo Food Streets and tourist resources designated by cities and counties in Jeollanam-do.

The main contents of the Beolgyo Taebaek Mountain Range Cockle Street Revitalization Project include ▲cockle street merchants' meetings, ▲support for sanitary cooking uniforms, ▲maintenance of the cockle street, ▲production of cockle maps, ▲promotion of the cockle street and operation of the visiting month, and ▲customized dining management consulting.

On the 24th, Boseong-gun held a meeting for the owners of nine cockle specialty restaurants in Beolgyo Taebaek Mountain Range Cockle Street, distributing unified sanitary cooking uniforms and aprons, and also conducted hygiene and hospitality training.

In addition, to welcome tourists to the "19th Beolgyo Cockle Festival" held for three days from the 27th to the 29th along the Cheonbyeon area of Beolgyo-eup, lighting and signboards of the cockle street sculptures were maintained.

In particular, the cockle map featuring cockle specialty restaurants and major tourist attractions in Beolgyo-eup will be distributed to tourists at the "Cockle Street Visiting Month Promotion Booth" linked to the Beolgyo Cockle Festival to focus on promoting the cockle street.

A Boseong-gun official said, "We will do our best to revitalize the cockle street, including conducting customized dining management consulting in the future." He added, "We hope you visit Beolgyo Taebaek Mountain Range Cockle Street, where you can taste seasonal cockles and enjoy the festival."
