Goheung-gun 'Goheung Culture and Arts Festival' Successfully Concluded

Colorful Performances, Exhibitions, and Experiences Offered at County Office Lawn Plaza

Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) and the Gohung Cultural City Center announced the successful conclusion of the 2023 Gohung Culture and Arts Festival, themed "Autumn Picnic with Gohung and Culture."

The "Gohung Culture and Arts Festival" was held over two days from the 20th to the 21st at the lawn plaza of the Gohung County Office, with about 2,000 residents attending and programs that all visitors could enjoy.

The festival site was decorated with various structures and lighting that captivated visitors' eyes, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of an autumn camping site, drawing attention.

The "Gohung Culture and Arts Festival" provided a space where residents could enjoy together through booths operated by lifestyle culture activists or groups active in Gohung, based on their past activities (experiences, exhibitions, etc.), conveying the joy of lifestyle culture.

In particular, on the first day of the festival, the 20th, the event began with a performance by the Gohung County's exclusive art troupe, followed by the opening ceremony and congratulatory performances by the Johangjo Band and Mongni, attracting much attention from many Gohung residents.

Following this, the spectacular drone show by the Aerospace Propulsion Team brightly colored the night sky over the lawn plaza of the Gohung County Office, responding to the families visiting the festival site. Additionally, the blanket movie viewing program, different from last year, attracted many families despite the cold weather.

On the second day of the festival, many residents also joined the festival finale. Besides various performances such as the Youth Club Festival and Youth Cafe, visitors enjoyed diverse programs including the Gohung sellers' market (art, food) and children's play areas, with the children's play area being especially popular among young visitors to the festival.

A county official said, "We are pleased and grateful that many residents came to enjoy the Gohung Culture and Arts Festival, where Gohung and culture come together." He added, "It was a meaningful occasion to invite lifestyle culture participants involved in projects conducted by Gohung-gun and the Gohung Cultural City Center to share the accumulated value with local residents."
