Kittens Severed... Likely Cut and Killed by a Brush Cutter
"Multiple Cats Sacrificed at Once... Most Have Legs Severed"
Neglected Even After Report... Civic Groups Demand Truth Investigation
Several kitten carcasses with body parts severed were found near Sacheon Bridge in Namgajwa-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. The first discoverer speculated that the kittens might have been cut by a grass trimmer, as they saw grass trimming work being carried out nearby.

There were a total of four dead kittens, all in a gruesome state with their bodies cut by something sharp. Legs were scattered around the carcasses, and one of them had maggots filling its mouth. One kitten that survived was crying pitifully, with one of its legs severed and dangling.
After reporting to the Dasan Call Center and the district office, A returned to the site around 6 p.m., but the carcasses were still left unattended. A and an acquaintance took the surviving kitten to a hospital, but it eventually died there.

Upon receiving the report, Seodonghaeng immediately launched an investigation and confirmed from on-site personnel that 6 to 7 people had been conducting grass trimming work at the location since the 16th.
Seodonghaeng criticized the negligence of the local government’s grass trimming workers and demanded a thorough investigation into the truth.
Seodonghaeng stated, "The local government conducts grass trimming and pruning work every year. Even if there are bird nests, the work should be carried out carefully. What is particularly unusual in this case is that five cats were sacrificed at once, and most of them had their legs severed."
They added, "When we reported this to the district office on the 20th, the person in charge asked, 'Is this because of the cats?' and replied, 'There was no grass trimming work at Sacheon Bridge this week.' They also demanded that the informant 'prove the damage caused by the cats dying during the grass trimming work.'"
Seodonghaeng announced that they plan to submit a petition to the police station on the 25th regarding the incident.
