60th Anniversary of South Korea's Industrial Complexes... Nationwide Public Contest for Commemorative Slogan
Slogan Submissions Reflecting Future Development Directions of Industrial Complexes
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (Chairman Lee Sang-hoon) announced on the 25th that it will hold a commemorative slogan contest to celebrate the 60th anniversary of industrial complexes in 2024. This is to raise public interest and build consensus on the role of industrial complexes in the economic development of the Republic of Korea.
Industrial complexes were launched in September 1964 with the enactment of the 'Export Industrial Complex Development Act' and have played a pivotal role in Korea's industrialization and economic growth over the past 60 years. Currently, there are 1,274 industrial complexes nationwide housing over 120,000 companies, accounting for 62.5% of production, 63.2% of exports, and 53.7% of employment in Korea's manufacturing sector.
The contest theme is a slogan that reflects the future development direction of industrial complexes as innovative and dynamic new industrial spaces, and anyone can participate. Each individual can submit up to two entries, and the slogan must be limited to within 16 characters. The selected best work will be used as the official slogan for the 60th anniversary.
