Toyota Normalizes in Ten Days... "Production Resumes from Tomorrow"
Toyota Motor Corporation will resume operations at its factories in Japan that had experienced production disruptions due to an explosion accident at a parts supplier.
According to Kyodo News on the 23rd, Toyota plans to restart 7 production lines at 5 factories, excluding one factory in Gifu Prefecture, out of the 8 production lines at 6 factories where work had been halted. The Gifu Prefecture factory is scheduled to resume production from the 26th.
As a result, the production disruption that began on the 16th is expected to be resolved within ten days.
The spring parts supplier involved in the accident resumed production starting on the 21st.
Earlier, at the end of August, Toyota had also suspended operations for about two days at all 14 of its completed vehicle factories in Japan due to a system issue related to parts ordering.
