Yeongdeok-gun to Host 2023 Blue Road Trekking Festival
Luxury Coastal Trekking 16km, Enjoy Pristine Nature and Cultural Heritage
The '2023 Blue Road Trekking Festival' held on the 21st at Yeongdeok-gun Goraebul Beach concluded successfully.
Blue Road is the nation's first inland coastal trekking course, established in 2009, stretching a total of 64.6 km across four sections from Bugyeong-ri, Namjeong-myeon, the southernmost part of Yeongdeok-gun, to Byeonggok-ri, Byeonggok-myeon, the northernmost part.
On the day, over 500 trekking participants completed a 16 km circular course including part of Blue Road Course C, passing through natural scenic spots such as Sangdaesan Gwangeodae and the national folk village, Gyesiri Traditional Village.
Additionally, the event featured flea market booths operated directly by local residents and Batucada performances by young local cultural artists, providing various enjoyment to participants. Those who completed the course received souvenirs and goods.

He added, "We plan to continue offering diverse attractions and activities to visitors coming to Yeongdeok."
