Couple Camping at Gwangju Reservoir Dies from Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
A couple who were fishing and camping at a reservoir in downtown Gwangju were found dead.
According to the Gwangju Northern Police on the 22nd, a report was received around 3:10 PM that day stating that two people appeared to be dead inside a fishing tent at a camping site near Family Land reservoir in Saengyong-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
Police investigation revealed that the couple, a woman in her 50s and a man in his 60s, were believed to have turned on a heating device and fallen asleep after fishing, leading to carbon monoxide poisoning.
