Controversy Over Hygiene at Chinese Qingdao Beer Factory... Importer States "Unrelated to Domestic Products"
Regarding the controversy over hygiene following the release of a video allegedly showing an employee urinating at the third factory of Qingdao Brewery in China, the domestic importer clarified that the products produced at that factory are unrelated to those for the domestic market.
Beerkey, the importer of Qingdao Beer, issued a statement on the 21st, saying, "After confirming with Qingdao Brewery headquarters, Qingdao Beer separates domestic and export products and manufactures them at different factories. It was confirmed that the third factory in the video produces only domestic beer." They added, "Currently, all Qingdao products imported by Beerkey are unrelated to that factory."
Recently, there has been controversy online regarding hygiene issues at the third factory of Qingdao Brewery in China. The video showed a man wearing work clothes appearing to urinate into the beer raw materials, shocking consumers.
