[Weather] Tomorrow Morning Temperatures Drop 3~8 Degrees... Chilly After Rain
The morning of Friday the 20th will be quite chilly, with temperatures dropping 3 to 8 degrees lower than the previous morning.
On the 19th, a low-pressure trough passed over South Korea, bringing rain mainly to the central regions. Rain will continue until early morning on the 20th in southern Gyeonggi, southern Gangwon, Chungcheong, and southern regions. However, rain may persist until the morning of the 20th in Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do, and until the morning of the 20th in Jeju.
After the low-pressure trough that brought rain passes, a continental high-pressure system will expand, bringing cold air from the northwest and causing temperatures to drop sharply.
The lowest temperatures on the morning of the 20th are expected to be between 6 and 14 degrees Celsius, and the highest daytime temperatures between 13 and 19 degrees Celsius. This is a significant drop compared to the previous day’s morning lows of 6 to 19 degrees and daytime highs of 13 to 25 degrees. Frost is expected in inland areas of Gyeonggi and Gangwon, including mountainous regions.
The expected lowest and highest temperatures on the 20th in major cities are: Seoul 9°C and 14°C, Incheon 10°C and 14°C, Daejeon 10°C and 16°C, Gwangju and Daegu 12°C and 17°C, Ulsan 13°C and 17°C, and Busan 14°C and 19°C.
On the 20th, strong winds with gusts around 55 km/h (70 km/h in mountainous areas) will blow across most regions. On the west coast, Gangwon Yeongdong, and Jeju, wind speeds may exceed 70 km/h (90 km/h in mountainous areas) from the morning of the 19th until early morning of the 20th, possibly prompting strong wind warnings.
