Pyeongtaek Youth Counseling and Welfare Center Conducts Parent-Child Relationship Counseling
Small Group Counseling Every Thursday
The Pyeongtaek Youth Counseling and Welfare Center in Gyeonggi-do will conduct small group face-to-face counseling sessions every Thursday for 4 weeks from the 19th of this month to the 19th of next month to improve parent-child relationships.
The parent group counseling is targeted at parents of children from 4th grade elementary school to early 2nd grade middle school, under the theme "Effective Communication with Early Adolescent Children."
During the group counseling, parents will assess their ego and life attitudes, understand interpersonal communication styles, and practice positive communication methods for growing together with their adolescent children. This will help parents review their own communication styles and share various concerns and difficulties experienced while raising adolescent children.
Oh Seok-yeon, director of the Pyeongtaek Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, said, "We hope this program will be a meaningful time for parents to restore a healthy relationship with their children."
