Hwasun Dolmen Autumn Flower Festival Hosts Various Exhibitions and Events During the Festival Period
From the 20th to the 29th, a Festival Filled with Abundant Attractions
Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 17th that it plans to attract tourists through various cultural and artistic exhibitions in conjunction with the '2023 Hwasun Dolmen Autumn Flower Festival (Chrysanthemum Festival)'.
At the Hwasun-gun Choi Sang-jun Art Museum in Donggu-ri Lake Park, Hwasun-eup, the planned exhibition "Imaginative Play 想像遊?" has been held since the 12th and will continue until December 24.
The exhibition presents 54 paintings by artists Kim Wang-ju, Kim Ho-min, and Yoo Yong-sang, offering a sense of rest to modern people weary from everyday life.
At the Hwasun-gun Unjusa Culture Center in Doam-myeon, Hwasun-gun, the collection exhibition "Sense of Light" is ongoing until the 29th.
The exhibition is composed of 42 flat paintings owned by Hwasun-gun, allowing visitors to experience the stability and comfort given by light and color, as well as a healing sensation not felt in daily life.
The operating hours of the Hwasun-gun Choi Sang-jun Art Museum and the Hwasun-gun Unjusa Culture Center are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and during winter, the hours are shortened by one hour to 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both facilities are closed every Monday.
At the Hanium Culture and Sports Center Gallery, the O Ji-ho Art Contest award ceremony and exhibition will be held from the 20th to the 26th, with certificates awarded to 274 winners from 48 schools and an exhibition of 135 works.
Additionally, to commemorate the 2023 International Ink Painting Biennale and the 37th Hwasun Artists Association Members Exhibition, 62 works by 29 association members will be displayed from the 27th to November 2.
Various exhibitions and programs are also underway at three private art museums in the area.
At Dasan Art Museum in Dasan-ri, Sapyeong-myeon, a collection exhibition titled "Dasan, Autumn Journey" will be held from the 11th to the 31st (closed Sundays and Mondays).
The exhibition features 20 carefully selected high-quality works from the Dasan Art Museum’s collection, including media art, photography, ceramics, and paintings.
At Soso Art Museum in Dogok-myeon, the planned invitational exhibition by artist Shin Sun-yoon titled "2023 Beautiful Places" will be held from the 17th to November 14 (closed Mondays).
The exhibition showcases Shin Sun-yoon’s paintings that dream of the wonders of nature around us and a world of fantasy amid rapidly advancing cutting-edge technology.
At Taegot Art Museum in Naepyeong-ri, Hwasun-eup, the "2023 Korean Fine Arts Association Hwasun Branch Members Exhibition" will be held from the 20th to the 31st (closed Sundays and Mondays).
This exhibition, featuring 26 members of the Korean Fine Arts Association Hwasun Branch, gathers works from various fields such as painting, calligraphy, photography, and sculpture, allowing visitors to appreciate high-quality artworks alongside the beautiful atmosphere of Hwasun.
