"The Responsibility and Duty of Public Officials is to Resolve Residents' Inconveniences"... Emphasizing an Organizational Culture Where MZ Generation Employees Can Grow and Want to Work
Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo District Office in Seoul, urged all employees on the 17th to actively promote "citizen-centered, eye-level administration" with one heart and one mind.
At the first executive meeting held in the district office's large conference room that morning since his inauguration, Mayor Jin said, "It is the responsibility and duty of public officials to find solutions with sincerity regarding citizens' demands," adding, "We must make relentless efforts to resolve citizens' inconveniences rather than conducting one-way administration."
He continued, "If we break down barriers between departments and approach local issues and residents' inconveniences through collaboration, connection, and coordination, constructive alternatives can be derived," and said, "Before making judgments based on laws, procedures, and guidelines, please look deeply into residents' inconveniences and do your best to resolve them."
He also requested, "All events and festivals promoted by the district should be planned and prepared to provide the utmost courtesy to guests while serving as a venue for citizen-centered harmony."
Mayor Jin also emphasized the need to foster an organizational culture of mutual respect and communication.
He said, "It is the leader's role to listen to the difficulties of MZ generation public officials and help them grow within the organization," and urged, "Please strive to create a work environment where people want to work."
Furthermore, Mayor Jin stated, "Devoting oneself to district administration is a duty to the residents of Gangseo," and promised, "As the full-fledged Mayor of Gangseo, I will do my best to oversee district administration with balanced and stable policy implementation."
