O Gwang-rok, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member, Enacts 'Local Commercial Area Revitalization Ordinance'
Oh Gwang-rok, a member of the Seo-gu Council in Gwangju Metropolitan City, announced on the 16th that the 'Ordinance on Support for Coexistence and Revitalization of Local Commercial Districts' was passed at the standing committee related to the 315th extraordinary session.
The ordinance includes ▲ the responsibilities of the district mayor ▲ submission documents for the application for approval of the establishment of autonomous commercial district associations ▲ the scope of work of commercial district professional managers ▲ specification of support recipients for revitalization zones, among other contents.
Councilor Oh explained, "This ordinance was enacted to specifically state matters delegated by law regarding the approval of the establishment of autonomous associations and support for revitalization zones, so that it can provide practical help to local small business owners."
He added, "We will consider ways to help revitalize local commercial districts and support small business owners through special cases and supportable systems such as registering as an Onnuri gift certificate affiliated store."
