Korean Air Participates in Seoul ADEX 2023... Exhibiting Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and More
Korean Air announced that it will participate in the ‘Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition 2023 (Seoul ADEX 2023)’ held at Seoul Airport in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province from the 17th to the 22nd.
This exhibition is the largest defense industry exhibition in Korea, hosted by the Korea Aerospace Industries Association, Korea Defense Industry Association, and KOTRA, and supported by the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. A total of 550 companies from 35 countries worldwide are participating.
Korean Air will display actual mid-altitude unmanned aerial vehicles, division-level drones, launchers, and ground control vehicles at the outdoor exhibition area. Inside the indoor exhibition hall, it will showcase various platforms including multipurpose stealth drones, low-observable (stealth technology that is difficult to detect with conventional radar) unmanned swarm drones, and tactical division-level drones.
The company is leading the domestic unmanned aerial vehicle sector centered on its Aerospace Business Division. It received the first domestic military drone type certification in 2014 and obtained airworthiness certification for division reconnaissance drones in 2018, continuously investing in and researching drone development.

Additionally, since 1979, Korean Air has operated the largest maintenance center in the Asia-Pacific region, which has overhauled more than 5,000 military aircraft for both the Republic of Korea Armed Forces and the U.S. military (maintenance involving complete disassembly, inspection, and repair of parts to restore performance to the original factory condition) and has carried out military aircraft performance upgrades.
