Gokseong-gun, 58.2% Implementation Rate of Promises in the 8th Elected Term
Held 3rd Quarter Pledge Progress Report Meeting
Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that on the 11th, it held a report meeting on the promises and directives of the 8th elected administration at Sotong Maru and checked the progress of the pledge projects for the 3rd quarter of 2023.
Out of 49 projects, 6 pledges were additionally completed in the 3rd quarter of this year, bringing the total number of fulfilled pledges to 10. The pledge fulfillment rate reached 58.2%.
Looking at the pledges completed in the 3rd quarter, the first is the ‘Return of the Euneo Project’.
This project provides a one-time settlement payment of 3 million won to young people from Gokseong who get employed at local companies.
The plan was established at the beginning of the year, candidates were identified, and so far, support funds have been paid to 5 people.
Second, the ‘Youth Culture Voucher Card Project’.
After completing consultations on new social security with the Ministry of Health and Welfare in April this year, related ordinances were enacted in July.
Before Chuseok, vouchers worth 200,000 won were distributed, receiving high praise from local residents.
The youth culture voucher is expected to help close the cultural gap by supporting cultural and artistic activities of growing youth in the area who have fewer opportunities to enjoy culture compared to youth in large cities.
Third, ‘Expansion of Support for Fostering Young Farmers’.
To support young farmers who will lead the future of agriculture, the subsidy rate for support projects has been increased, actively supporting young farmers’ stable participation in agriculture.
In addition, for projects delayed compared to the original plan, problems and difficulties were shared, and countermeasures and future plans were discussed.
Furthermore, the progress of directives presented at policy report meetings and major work plan meetings was also reviewed.
There were a total of 82 directives in the 3rd quarter, of which 30 have been completed, recording a fulfillment rate of 37%.
One of the major directives, the ‘Temporary Operation of the Gokseong Love Free Pass,’ is a project that provides various discounts and free benefits to hometown love donors.
Detailed plans will be established later and the project is scheduled to be implemented from 2024.
Governor Lee Sang-cheol of Gokseong said, “Thank you for fulfilling the pledge projects even while preparing for festivals, performing emergency disaster duties, and carrying out urgent tasks. I hope other projects will also be managed so that they can proceed swiftly to improve the quality of life for our residents.”
