Gwangju Seo-gu to Host Book Festival at Sangnok Library Area on the 14th

Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 12th that it will hold the "9th Book Fragrance Seo-gu Book Festival," where libraries, people, and books come together, at Sangnok Library from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 14th.

This book festival is organized in collaboration with about 10 related organizations including Seo-gu public libraries and small libraries, under the theme "Meeting through Books on the Blue Planet Earth," offering various reading experience activities linked to books about the climate crisis and environmental issues.

Families can enjoy various outdoor programs such as ▲ Four-shot Life Photos ▲ Play Theater Family Environmental Play ▲ Swanyu Band Literary Concert ▲ Experience Booths ▲ Book Talk with author Kwak Jae-sik.

As a preliminary event, Seo-gu held a "Love the Earth Book Cover Drawing" contest and also conducted the stamp tour program "Let's All Take a Shot, One Round in Seo-gu" at Seo-gu public libraries and small libraries.

Additionally, during the festival week, meetings with environmental picture book authors Lee Yesook and Lee Ukje were arranged at Sangnok Library on the 15th and Seobitmaru Library on the 22nd, respectively, and an exhibition of the picture boards titled "We Will Soon Disappear," created by participating children, will be held.
