Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Operates 'Hubblance' for Accompanying Disabled Patients to Hospitals
Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is operating a dedicated vehicle called 'Hublance (Human + Ambulance)' that transports disabled and elderly people with mobility difficulties to hospitals.
The Hublance vehicle has been newly introduced as a dedicated vehicle that allows wheelchair boarding from a regular passenger car. It is equipped with a slope (mobile ramp) and an automatic step to assist boarding and alighting.
This enables a more comfortable and pleasant hospital accompaniment service for disabled and elderly people who can only move by wheelchair.
A disabled person A, who used the service for the first time, said, "Previously, going to the hospital was a big deal, but thanks to the dedicated vehicle and the accompanying manager, I was able to reduce the burden of going to the hospital."
