Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, Creating a Child-Friendly City
Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is taking steps to create a child-friendly city.
On the 11th, Gwangsan-gu announced that it has signed a related business agreement with the Gwangju Western Office of Education, Gwangsan Police Station, Gwangsan Fire Station, Gwangju Metropolitan City Child Protection Agency, and Save the Children Western Regional Headquarters.
The purpose is to establish a community public-private cooperation system to realize the values and ideals of the United Nations (UN) Convention on the Rights of the Child.
These organizations will jointly promote ▲ education and promotion to enhance children's rights ▲ the formation of child participation organizations and the Child-Friendly City Creation Committee ▲ activities to prevent and protect children from crimes such as violence and abuse ▲ creating an environment to protect children's safety and lives ▲ and activities to protect and advocate for children's rights and interests.
