SKC "Check Environment Label Certified Products on 'My Green Place'"
Coex Operates Experience Booth at 'ESG Eco-friendly Expo'
SKC is participating in the ‘2023 Korea ESG Eco-friendly Expo,’ the largest environmental exhibition in Korea, to improve public awareness of eco-label products and promote eco-friendly consumption.
SKC announced that at this event, hosted by the Ministry of Environment and organized by the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI), held for three days from the 11th at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, it will showcase ‘My Green Place,’ Korea’s first game-based recycling information platform, at the ‘Eco-label Special Pavilion’ operated by KEITI.
My Green Place is Korea’s first mobile game-based recycling information platform launched by SKC last year on Earth Day (April 22). When users scan the barcode of products using containers such as plastic, explanations about materials like PET and PE, which are difficult to understand by name alone, and recycling methods are displayed. It has recorded over 90,000 downloads to date. SKC has prepared a separate space where anyone can experience the application and try out My Green Place.

The Eco-label system is a nationally certified eco-friendly certification system that awards logos (eco-labels) to products and services that reduce energy and resource consumption and minimize pollutant emissions throughout the entire process from production to consumption.
In July this year, SKC signed a business agreement with KEITI to promote resource circulation and eco-friendly lifestyles, and has been steadily increasing information on eco-label certified products within the application.
Through this, consumers can now check not only the recycling method of the products they intend to purchase but also whether they are eco-label certified.
In addition, SKC is conducting various social contribution activities based on My Green Place. Last month, it launched ‘My Green School,’ a participatory resource circulation education program for members aimed at raising environmental protection and recycling awareness among elementary school students. This spring, SKC held the ‘My Green Campus’ event at four university festivals, where attendees could experience My Green Place.
