Hansei Silup Sponsors Climate Change Experience Exhibition at London Natural History Museum
As Part of ESG Management
Hansae Yesup announced on the 11th that it sponsored the London Natural History Museum Climate Change Experience Exhibition (Our Broken Planet: How We Got Here and Ways to Fix It) as part of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
This event, held for the first time in Asia, is an original planned exhibition introduced through a business agreement between the London Natural History Museum, one of the world's top three natural history museums, and the Environmental Foundation. It will be held for three months from September 20 to December 19 at the Suwon Convention Center. The exhibition features 34 detailed contents on the impact of environmental issues on the Earth, including wildlife suspected as the origin of COVID-19, butterflies threatened with survival due to palm oil, and whale earwax recording ocean pollution, focusing on climate change and biodiversity. Additionally, experiential events such as making endangered species solar lamps, one-day classes, and eco quiz competitions are prepared for children and adolescents to participate directly.
Hansae Yesup, which donated approximately 10 million KRW in sponsorship for this exhibition, has been steadily carrying out ESG management activities linking environmental issues and social contribution activities. The '10% FOR GOOD' campaign, launched in 2019, is Hansae Yesup's representative eco-friendly campaign. It donates 10% of the net profits from the sale of clothing made from internationally certified eco-friendly fabrics to non-profit organizations engaged in environmental movements. Starting with a donation to one Dutch NGO that collects marine waste, it has continuously invested in sustainability for the fashion industry and the planet by supporting two upcycling NGOs in Canada and Belgium in 2020, and two ventures based on recycled fibers in 2021.
