Hamas Fires 15 Rockets at Israel from Lebanon
Israel "Counter Interception"
The Israeli military announced on the 10th (local time) that rockets were fired from southern Lebanon toward Israeli territory, prompting a retaliatory artillery response.
Major foreign media outlets cited Israeli sources reporting that the attack was carried out by Palestinian forces.
According to Israel, a total of 15 rockets were launched from the Lebanon area. Of these, 4 were successfully intercepted by the air defense system, and 10 fell in uninhabited open areas.
Foreign media reported that the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian armed faction Hamas, claimed responsibility for the attack. Through a Telegram statement from Hamas on the same day, the Al-Qassam Brigades said they "carried out rocket bombardment" on the western Galilee region of Israel and stated they are "fulfilling their duty."
The Israeli military also attacked two Hezbollah-owned observation posts with tanks. No casualties have been reported so far.
