Jeonnam Fire Department Works Hard to Provide 'Fire Safety Services' to Vulnerable Households in Island Areas
Visit to Wando Nohwaeum Neopdo... Collaboration with KEPCO and Volunteer Fire Brigade
The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Hong Young-geun) announced on the 9th that it provided fire safety services to vulnerable households, including elderly living alone, in the island area of Neopdo, Nohwa-eup, Wando-gun.
This service was promoted to prevent safety accidents and improve disaster response capabilities by providing fire safety services tailored to the characteristics of island areas vulnerable to disaster safety.
For 10 vulnerable households, Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, KEPCO MCS, and the volunteer fire brigade collaborated to conduct safety inspections (distribution of fire extinguishers), resolve daily inconveniences, remove obstacles and implement safety measures, and provide daily medical services.
From September to December, over four months, a pilot operation began targeting 100 households on affiliated islands in the Wando and Sinan island areas, and after signing an MOU with KEPCO MCS, the target will be gradually expanded.
