Deputy Prime Minister Choo Kyung-ho Departs for Morocco to Attend G20 Finance Ministers Meeting
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho will attend the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) Annual Meetings and the G20 Finance Ministers' Meeting held in Marrakech, Morocco, on the 11th.
On the first day, the 11th, Deputy Prime Minister Choo will participate in the launch event of the Global Supply Chain Resilience Partnership and the Ukraine support meeting. He is expected to announce South Korea's support plans for supply chain stability and Ukraine's reconstruction.
The following day, the WB Development Committee meeting and the G20 Finance Ministers' Meeting will be held consecutively. Deputy Prime Minister Choo will propose the WB's role and effective achievement plans, including the provision of global public goods, regarding the development measures prepared under the leadership of the WB. He will then urge broad cooperation among development banks and stakeholders for the successful reform of multilateral development banks at the G20 Finance Ministers' Meeting.
On the last day, the 13th, he will attend the second session of the G20 Finance Ministers' Meeting. It is reported that he will present recovery measures for supply resilience, financial stability, and growth momentum based on a recent diagnosis of the global economy.
