LG Uplus will provide live broadcasting services for professional basketball and volleyball through its integrated sports community platform, 'Spoky.'
Spoky is a service that offers the latest news from various domestic and international leagues by sports category, as well as popular YouTube and broadcast videos.
Providing customers with entertainment regardless of the sports season or off-season, it has recorded over 4 million monthly active users (MAU) in the past six months.
Spoky offers live broadcasting services for ▲Men's Professional Basketball (KBL) ▲Women's Professional Basketball (WKBL) and ▲Men's Professional Volleyball (V-League) ▲Women's Professional Volleyball (V-League). The professional volleyball leagues for both men and women will open on the 14th, while the men's and women's professional basketball leagues will start on the 21st and the 5th of next month, respectively.
In particular, for men's professional basketball, each game provides key features such as △'Player of the Day (Best and Worst)' based on game contribution △'Key Players' based on offense, defense, and game management △major statistics including field goal, three-point shot, and free throw success rates, starting lineup points, and bench points.
Team-specific pages are also operated. By setting a favorite team, users receive notifications about the start and end of games in which the team participates, as well as quarter-by-quarter scores and final scores.
For professional volleyball, regardless of the men's or women's league, users can set notifications for each game to receive alerts about the start and end of matches, set-by-set scores, and final scores. Detailed game records such as position-specific statistics are planned to be introduced during the professional volleyball season.
