‘Jeongwon Manbal-gil’ at Achasan Eoullim Garden and ‘Achasan Manbal-gil’ at Achasan Donghaeng Forest Trail Created Safe Barefoot Walking Enjoyment... Equipped with Safety Railings, Hwangto Ball Experience Area, Foot Washing Station, and More
On the 6th, the Barefoot Trail at Achasan in Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) was opened.
Barefoot walking is known to be effective for blood circulation, immune system enhancement, and stress relief, sparking a nationwide craze. Recently, many hikers have been walking barefoot on Achasan as well.
Accordingly, the district created the ‘Jeongwon Barefoot Trail’ and the ‘Achasan Barefoot Trail’ tailored to the terrain of Achasan to allow safe barefoot walking.
The ‘Jeongwon Barefoot Trail’ was built along the Walkerhill next to the ecological pond in Achasan Eoullim Garden, with a width of 1.5m and a length of 100m. It has a gentle slope and safety railings installed, making it accessible for those who have difficulty walking.
On one side, there is a loess ball experience area with acupressure effects, and a foot washing and drying station is also provided at the end of the walk.
The ‘Achasan Barefoot Trail’ is located on top of the pine tree resting area in the middle of the Achasan Donghaeng Forest Trail, with a width of 1.6m and a length of 210m. It is a shaded area under trees, making it a great place for walking even in midsummer, and has been a frequently visited shortcut by barefoot hikers. The district widened the path, installed safety railings and drainage facilities, turning it into a pleasant dirt trail for walking.
