Strengthening Promotion of Hometown Love Donation System and Thorough Management of Various Local Events
On the 6th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it held the regular October assembly at the county office video conference room with the participation of the deputy county head and senior officials.
During the regular assembly, gratitude was expressed to the public officials who diligently carried out various living environment maintenance and comprehensive holiday measures to ensure that visitors returning home and tourists could have a comfortable and safe Chuseok holiday during the past month’s major tasks and the holiday period.
Additionally, taking the sister city agreement with Yibin City, Sichuan Province, China, home to the largest bamboo forest in China, ‘Chuknamjukhae (蜀南竹海)’, as an opportunity, exchanges in various fields such as the bio-industry and education for mutual development were requested.
At the start of the fourth quarter, emphasis was placed on checking the progress of the tasks planned at the beginning of the year, devising measures for unfinished tasks, and establishing next year’s work plans to ensure solid implementation.
In particular, officials were urged to strengthen promotion of the Hometown Love Donation Program until the end of the year and to do their best in preparation for various evaluations conducted by the central and provincial governments.
Furthermore, as the fiscal environment has become difficult due to the government’s tight budget policy for next year, officials were instructed to apply cautiously for public projects, secure funding for local pending projects reflected in the government budget proposal, and proactively respond with interest to national and provincial policy directions.
The county head emphasized, “Since the 104th National Sports Festival will be held in a distributed manner across Jeollanam-do starting from the 13th, please do your best to inspect the safety of the gymnasium and cultural center where the games will be held and to establish a cooperative system with related organizations.”
