Incheon TP Collects Discarded Bottle Caps at Incheon International Airport for Upcycling Campaign
Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) and Incheon Airport Operation Service Co., Ltd. launched the 'ESG Carbon Neutral Upcycle Campaign' on the 5th, collecting discarded bottle caps and reprocessing them into various products.
This campaign is a social value realization program promoted by the Incheon TP Design Support Center since March, which collects discarded PP plastic bottle caps and uses them as materials for upcycled products.
Employees of Incheon Airport Operation Service who participated in the campaign collected about 150,000 plastic bottle caps discarded within Incheon International Airport over two months and delivered them to the Incheon TP Design Support Center. The bottle caps were donated to the Incheon Upcycle Eco Center to be used as educational materials in the 'Upcycling Experience ZONE' or to be reborn as upcycled products.

Incheon TP expects that upcycling, which transforms small plastics that are difficult to recycle into new products, will help prevent environmental pollution and achieve carbon neutrality. An Incheon TP official stated, "We hope this campaign will become a model case of institutions in the Incheon area joining forces to realize carbon neutrality."
