"Raise the Status of Jeonbuk Sports"... National Sports Festival Kickoff Ceremony Held
The Jeonbuk delegation participating in the 104th National Sports Festival pledged to secure victory.
According to the Jeonbuk Provincial Sports Council (Chairman Jeong Gang-seon) on the 5th, the '104th National Sports Festival Jeonbuk Delegation Resolution Ceremony' was held at the outdoor plaza on the first floor of the Provincial Sports Council building.
On this day, the Jeonbuk delegation vowed, "Step by step, let's climb up and restore the former glory of Jeonbuk sports." About 500 people attended, including Governor Kim Kwan-young, Jeonbuk Provincial Assembly member Lee Su-jin, heads of various local institutions, media representatives, executives and advisors of the Provincial Sports Council, heads of sports organizations, and athletes.

There were also heartfelt wishes for the development of Jeonbuk sports. Development funds were donated as follows: Cho Jang-hee, Chairman of Iksan City Sports Council (Vice Chairman of Jeonbuk Sports Council) 10 million won; Jeong Young-taek, Chairman of Jeonbuk Roller Sports Federation (Vice Chairman of Jeonbuk Sports Council) 5 million won; Jeonbuk Sepaktakraw Association 5 million won; Jeonbuk Sports Club Council 3 million won; and all employees of Iksan City Sports Council 2 million won.
This National Sports Festival will be held for a week from the 13th to the 19th in Mokpo City, the host city, and throughout Jeollanam-do. The Jeonbuk delegation consists of a total of 1,712 members, including 1,189 athletes and 523 officials, competing in friendly competition. Some events such as badminton, hockey, and billiards will be held as preliminary matches starting from the 9th.
The head of the Jeonbuk delegation is Jeong Gang-seon, Chairman of the Provincial Sports Council. Chairman Jeong said, "For the honor of Jeonbuk, please fully demonstrate the skills you have honed in daily training so that your past efforts will not be in vain."
