Boseong-gun Hosts 'Boseongae (愛) Muldeulda (Tea)' Ecological Camp
Ecological Experience at Yulpo Beach and Hanguk Tea Culture Park
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will hold an ecological camp where participants can experience the natural ecology of Boseong.
The ecological camp will be held every weekend on October 7-8 and October 14-15, as part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's ecological green tourism promotion project.
On October 7 (14:00-18:00), the camp will take place at Gunnong-ri Beach (1110-5 Gunnong-ri, Hoecheon-myeon), on the 8th (12:00-16:00) at the north tea field of the Korea Tea Culture Park (behind the Korea Tea Museum), and on the 14th-15th (11:00-17:00) at Yulpo Pine Forest Beach.
Participation in the program is available through on-site registration on the day of the event. This ecological camp is led by local residents living in Boseong and offers both free and paid programs such as ▲ tea blending experience, ▲ forest meditation, ▲ environmental cleanup activities, ▲ busking, ▲ photo zone events, and ▲ rental of outing props accompanied by desserts and tea made by local residents.
In particular, the significance lies in the fact that the event is operated by local residents who have received years of training to run ecological experiences and communicate with tourists. Additionally, the camp’s charm is that various ecological experience programs promoted by Boseong-gun can be enjoyed all in one place.
A representative of Boseong-gun said, “Last year’s ecological camp at Yulpo Beach received more interest and love than expected. This year, we have prepared so that the camp can be enjoyed not only at Yulpo Beach, a representative tourist destination of Boseong, but also at the Boseong tea fields. We hope many tourists will have a chance to get close to and enjoy the nature of Boseong.”
Meanwhile, since 2022, Boseong-gun has been holding ecological camps led by local residents, receiving favorable reviews for providing various experiences to tourists and locals alike.
