Ahn Hyeong-ju, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member, Receives Legislative Award

On the 4th, Ahn Hyeong-ju, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, received the 'Grand Prize' in the basic council member category at the Legislative Awards ceremony hosted by the Korea Press Media Group.

According to the Korea Press Media Group, Councilor Ahn was recognized for his achievements through legislative activities, including ▲solving community issues based on communication ▲revitalizing local commercial districts based on the history and tradition of the community ▲implementing policies to protect minorities and the vulnerable.

Councilor Ahn is actively engaged in legislative activities such as the 'Ordinance for the Protection and Support of Housing Tenants.'

He has also worked to resolve issues related to the Facility Management Corporation and others.

In addition to addressing various local issues and community problems, he is actively working to promote communication and harmony between generations.

In his acceptance speech, Councilor Ahn said, “I am grateful and feel a sense of responsibility to receive this great award,” adding, “I will continue to listen carefully and gather opinions so that the voices of various social classes are heard and the will of Seo-gu residents is properly reflected in district administration, in line with the belief I started my political career with?that the vulnerable should not be marginalized.” He continued, “To do so, I will not lose my initial resolve and will carry out legislative activities that repay the residents' choice through harmonious checks and balances between administration and local residents.”
