Earlier, during the Korea-China quarterfinal soccer match held on the 1st, it was reported that the proportion of clicks supporting the Chinese team on the Daum support page reached as high as 91% of the total, sparking controversy over public opinion manipulation.
The KCC urgently analyzed approximately 31.3 million support clicks (22.94 million confirmed IPs) on Daum and Kakao support services around the Korea-China match on the 1st, revealing that foreign forces used methods such as △ abusing virtual private networks (VPNs) to bypass access and appear as domestic netizens and △ employing macro manipulation techniques that automate repetitive computer tasks to generate a large volume of comments supporting China.
