Post Office Director Dismissed for Stealing Cash from Post Office Safe
A local postmaster who stole tens of millions of won in cash from a post office vault was dismissed.
The Jeonnam Regional Postal Service announced on the 3rd that it recently held a disciplinary committee and dismissed a local postmaster, Mr. A.
The postal authorities detected Mr. A's misconduct during an internal audit last August and requested a police investigation last month.
Mr. A is under police investigation on charges of embezzling approximately 120 million won in cash stored in the post office vault for personal use.
