Reports of an unidentified vessel suspected of illegal entry were received off the coast of Boryeong, Chungnam, and about 20 passengers were apprehended.
According to the police on the 3rd, the Boryeong Coast Guard received a report of an unidentified vessel suspected of illegal entry at 1:53 a.m. near the southwest sea of Sinhuk-dong, Boryeong-si, Chungnam.
The Coast Guard is conducting a joint search with related agencies including the military and police. Earlier, the military authorities and the Coast Guard discovered the unidentified vessel docked at an undisclosed location in Boryeong.
There were about 20 people on board the vessel, most of whom were apprehended by the police. Some escaped, and the search is ongoing.
